This discussion takes a closer look at drama and musalsalat with those inside and outside of the industry to examine the roles women play and the possible futures of musalsalat. Join in the discussion with critics, writers and scholars on the roles of women in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

Get to know musalsalat—join us for an outdoor screening of three classic musalsalat episodes this coming Ramadan. Enjoy three episodes of classic shows which highlight the transformation of musalsalat since 1970. Start your evening with Harat Al Qasr from 1970, with its unique audience input to the storyline, to the first episode of the comedy of the Seven Stars Family (1997) and finishing with the classic biyya shamiyya musalsalat Bab Al Haara and its first episode from 2006. All three shows highlight the work and impact of Syrian television.
