Ready for School Initiative: Social and Emotional Preparedness

Overview

Join us for an online workshop designed to help parents, caregivers, and teachers support children aged 3 to 6 as they prepare to enter kindergarten or school.

A child’s early years lay the foundation for their personality and psychological, cognitive, and social development. School readiness plays a decisive role in shaping the success of their first educational experience.

In this workshop, Qatar National Library is pleased to host Dr. Heba Gamal Hariri, Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Jeddah and a specialist in psychological counseling and family therapy, with extensive experience in supporting children and their families.

Dr. Heba will share practical tools to help participants strengthen children’s psychological, social, and emotional skills, encourage independence, and support a smooth transition from home to school, helping make their first learning experience positive and successful.

During the workshop, participants will learn how to:
• Strengthen children’s social and emotional skills to help them adapt to school
• Build a supportive daily routine at home and in the classroom
• Apply strategies to manage anxiety and behaviors associated with the transition to school

Register now and become an active partner in preparing your child for school with confidence and awareness.

The event will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.
