Overview
After a new assistive device is introduced to a child with a disability, many families return home with clear technical instructions but limited guidance on the emotional transition that follows.
This workshop looks at the first 90 days after bringing a device home. It focuses on how a family’s emotions, expectations, and daily routines shape a child’s response to the technology and how smoothly it becomes part of everyday life. Participants will leave with a simple framework and practical strategies to support their child and move through this transition with greater confidence and long-term stability.
