Overview

Mizan al-A’mal (Criterion for Action) by Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali is one of the most central works in Islamic moral philosophy. In this work, al-Ghazali addresses topics such as the human soul, its powers, ways to purify and change its character, virtues and vices, means of attaining happiness, types of goodness and felicity, and much more.

This session will be an opportunity to delve into Islamic ethics through the lens of one of its greatest thinkers. Be sure to join us to be part of this rich and beneficial discussion with Dr. Mutaz al-Khatib, the MA program director in Applied Islamic Ethics at the College of Islamic Studies at HBKU.
