Facility Use Terms and Conditions
General
By using this website or using the facilities “Facilitates”)
of the Qatar Foundation, you accept and agree to be legally bound by the terms
herein.
Admission:
- All QF
members can use the facilities by presenting their Hawiyati card.
- The
general public is required to present their Qatar ID for registering and
accessing the facility.
- Users
under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian at
all times.
- Visitors
to Qatar and non-residents must be accompanied by a QID or QF card holder
to access the facilities.
- Guests
of QF members, including students, staff, and alumni, will be treated as
general public, and the daily or hourly pass fee will be applied.
- Family
and friends of QF students and alumni are not entitled to free access to
the facilities, and therefore the daily or hourly pass fee will be
applied.
- Staff
and faculty are responsible for the behavior of their guests and children.
- Users
must present their EC App booking QR-code at the reception prior to using
the facility. The Hawiyati card is not transferable.
- No
person may book a facility in another person’s name; users shall upload
their ID number in the system while booking the facility.
- If a
QF member or EC membership holder fails to appear for a rental
reservation, the general public rate will be applied.
Cancellation, Refund, and No-Show Policy:
- Facilities
cannot be booked more than two weeks in advance.
- To
book the Activity Room and Multi-Purpose Courts or pitches, there must be
a minimum of five users.
- Our
venues operate under a strict no-cancellation refund policy, except in
cases of medical emergencies.
- Failure
to cancel will result in not being able to book the facility for a month.
- Cancellations
must be made in writing and accompanied by appropriate documentation
supporting the medical reason for the cancellation.
- Medical
documentation may include a doctor's note, medical certificate, or other
proof of the participant's inability to attend to the booking due to
medical reasons.
- Refunds
granted for medical reasons are non-transferable and may only be issued to
the original user named in the booking.
- The
venue reserves the right to cancel a booking under certain circumstances,
including but not limited to:
- Unforeseen
circumstances beyond the venue's control, such as natural disasters,
inclement weather, or emergencies.
- Technical
or logistical issues that prevent the venue from accommodating the booking
as planned.
- Violation
of venue policies or terms and conditions by the organizer or
participants.
- If the
venue cancels a booking, the user may be entitled to a refund of any fees
or deposits paid, or the option to reschedule the activity / event for a
later date, subject to availability.
- The
venue will not be liable for any additional costs or damages incurred by
the organizer and user as a result of the cancellation.
Safety, Security, and Access:
- All
users are expected to respect the facilities and the rights of other individuals.
Any user who engages in any disorderly conduct, including verbal or
physical abuse, is subject to immediate removal and possible loss of
privileges.
- Users
and their guests are expected to promote a positive recreational
environment and behave and dress appropriately.
- All
users are considered equal and cannot be discriminated against because of
their sex, age, race, or religion.
- All
activities within the Education City facilities are on a voluntary
participation basis and could carry various degrees of risk of injury or
death; the users assume sole responsibility for any associated risks or
injury. Certain activities may involve strenuous physical action
including, but not limited to, muscle strength, endurance training, and
cardiovascular conditioning, and it is everyone’s responsibility to be
knowledgeable of his/her own physical condition and abilities when
partaking in any activity.
- Those
with diabetes, heart problems, high/low blood pressure, on prescriptions,
or any indication of a serious medical condition should consult their
doctor before exercising or using the facility.
- All
users and guests are responsible for their personal belongings and the
facility staff will not be responsible in case of loss, theft, or damage.
- All
users shall use the designated areas for eating, drinking, and smoking. No
glass or breakable containers are allowed outside the coffee shop area.
- Rollerblades,
inline/roller skates, skateboards, and bicycles are not allowed in any
facility except in the designated skate park or appropriate areas.
- Personal
stereos are not allowed in the facility except when used for pre-approved
recreation programs. Loud games or activities that may cause a disturbance
to others are not permitted.
- Wear
proper training attire at all times (t-shirts, shorts/tracksuit, and
training shoes) while respecting local customs and dressing norms.
- Football,
softball, frisbee, or other activities that involve projecting items
through the air are only permitted in suitable pitches and other
designated areas.
- Sparring
activities or other combat sports may be performed only under supervision
and in the appropriate facilities. Protective equipment must be worn for
such activities and a professional or the Community Engagement and
Activation Supervisor must approve martial arts aids before they are
incorporated into an activity.
- All
rubbish must be placed in the provided waste bins.
- Gambling
and/or playing cards is prohibited within the facilities.
- Any
end user using our facilities or equipment is solely responsible for any
loss or damage of the equipment in the facilities being used. Participants
will be billed and their privileges revoked until the matter/payment is
resolved.
- No
dangerous or foul play is allowed in any facility.
- Report
injuries or broken equipment firstly to the recreation staff on duty.
- Pets
are only allowed in designated outdoor facilities.
- Drawing
or writing on walls and equipment is forbidden.
- Photography
and filming permits need to be approved by QF Comms and building focal
point.
Privacy Policy:
User data collected through the EC digital platforms will be
handled in accordance with the EC digital platforms privacy policy. By using
the EC digital platforms, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of
your personal information as described in the privacy policy.
Modifications to Terms:
Qatar Foundation reserves the right to modify or update
these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Users are
responsible for reviewing the terms periodically for changes.
Trademarks
- You
may not use any of the Trademarks, or any variations thereof, without our
prior written consent. You may not use any of these Trademarks, or any
variations thereof, for promotional purposes
- Nothing
contained on this website should be construed as granting, by implication,
estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademark without
the written permission of the owner of the applicable Trademark.
Disclaimer
The materials and information provided on the EC website are
provided on an 'as is' basis. Qatar foundation makes no warranties, expressed
or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including,
without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property
or other violation of rights. Further, Qatar Foundation does not warrant or
make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or
reliability of the use of the materials on its website, or otherwise relating
to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.
Limitations
In no event shall Qatar Foundation, its affiliates or its
suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for
loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use
or inability to use the materials this website or your participation or venue
booking.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, hold harmless, and indemnify Qatar
Foundation, and its respective affiliates, officers, faculty, instructors,
students, fellows, governing board members, agents and employees from and
against any third-party claims, actions, or demands arising out of, resulting
from or in any way related to your use of the site or participation or booking
the venue, including any liability or expense arising from any and all claims,
losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs,
and attorneys' fees, of every kind and nature.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in
accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, and you irrevocably submit to
the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
Language
These Terms and Conditions are drafted in English and into
Arabic, Arabic language version will prevail if there is any inconsistency
between the two.

Who do I contact in case of an emergency?
In case of an emergency, the emergency number is 4454 0999.
This number should be used for ambulance services and other urgent situations
requiring immediate assistance. In the event of any fire alarm activation or
other emergency requiring evacuation, it is the sole responsibility of an
