Education City Facilities Booking Access
Terms and Conditions
Admission:
· All QF students, staff, faculty, and alumni can use the facility by presenting the Hawiyati card.
· The general public is required to present their Qatar ID for registering and accessing the facility.
·Additional QF guests will be treated as general public and the daily pass fee will be applied effective 1st January 2024.
· Staff and faculty are responsible for the behavior of their guests and children.
· Alumni - free
· Alumni should apply for Alumni Hawiyati Card
· Students - free
· Users must present their EC App booking QR code at the reception prior using the facility
· Hawiyati card is not transferable.
· Children under the age of 16 are not permitted without adult supervision.
· No QF student, staff, faculty or alumni may book the facility for more than two hours; correspondence fees will apply for the succeeding hours.
· No person may book a facility in another person’s name; users shall upload a copy of their ID in the system while booking the facility.
·If a QF member or EC member fails to appear for a rental reservation, the General public rate will be applied.
·Bookings No Show policy - Facilities cannot be booked more than 2 weeks in advance.
Cancellations should be received at least 12 hours in advance or a cancellation. Failure to cancel will jeopardize a member’s privilege to book facilities.
• No person may book a facility for a period of more than 2 hours unless authorization has been given by the Recreation Office Staff.
• No person may book a facility in another person’s name.
• If end user does not turn up on time for their booking – the facility may be taken by another user after 15 minutes.
• To book Activity Room and Multi-Purpose Courts or pitches – there must be a minimum of 5 users.
·All Community Engagement and Activation facility users are expected to respect the facilities and
the rights of other individuals. Any user of the facilities, who engages in any disorderly conduct, including verbal or physical abuse of any employee or other user, is subject to immediate removal and possible loss of privileges.
·EC Members and their guests are expected to promote a positive recreational environment and behave and dress appropriately. All users are equal and not be discriminated against due to sex, age, race, and religion.
·All Community Engagement and Activation rules can be found in the booklet available in the Receptions.
Safety Security and Access:
· All users are expected to respect the facilities and the rights of other individuals. Any user who engages in any disorderly conduct, including verbal or physical abuse, is subject to immediate removal and possible loss of privileges. Users and their guests are expected to promote a positive recreational environment and behave and dress appropriately. All users are considered equal and cannot be discriminated against because of their sex, age, race, or religion.
· All activities within the Education City facilities are on a voluntary participation basis and could carry various degrees of risk of injury or death; the users assume sole responsibility for any associated risks or injury. Certain activities may involve strenuous physical action including, but not limited to, muscle strength, endurance training, and cardiovascular conditioning, and it is everyone’s responsibility to be knowledgeable of his/her own physical condition and abilities when partaking in any activity.
· Those with diabetes, heart problems, high/low blood pressure, on prescriptions, or any indication of a serious medical condition should consult their doctor before exercising or using the facility.
· All users and guests are responsible for their personal belongings and the facility staff will not be responsible in case of loss, theft, or damage.
· All users shall use the designated areas for eating, drinking, and smoking. No glass or breakable containers are allowed outside the coffee shop area.
· Rollerblades, inline/roller skates, skateboards, and bicycles are not allowed in any facility except in the designated skate park or appropriate areas.
· Personal stereos and ghetto blasters are not allowed in the facility except when used for pre-approved recreation programs. Loud games or activities that may cause a disturbance to others are not permitted.
· Wear proper training attire at all time (t-shirts, shorts/tracksuit, and training shoes) while respecting local customs and dressing norms.
· Football, softball, frisbee, or other activities that involve projecting items through the air are only permitted in suitable gyms and other designated areas.
· Sparring activities or other combat sports may be performed only under supervision and in the appropriate facilities. Protective equipment must be worn for such activities and a professional or the CE And Activation Supervisor must approve martial arts aids before they are incorporated into an activity.
· All rubbish must be placed in the provided waste bins.
· Gambling and/or playing cards is prohibited within the facilities.
· Any end user using our facilities or equipment is solely responsible for any loss or damage of the equipment in the facilities being used. Participants will be billed and their privileges revoked until matter / payment resolved.
· No dangerous or foul play is allowed in any facility.
· Report injuries or broken equipment firstly to the recreation staff on duty.
· Pets are only allowed in designated outdoor facilities.
· Drawing or writing on walls and equipment is forbidden.
· Photography and filming permits should be approved by QF Comms and building focal point.
