Mosques of Qatar: Architecture and Community

Overview

Since the early days of Islam, the mosque has played a central role not only as a place of worship, but as a space for learning, gathering, and community life.

In Qatar, mosques have long been part of the country’s religious, social, and cultural fabric. Their architectural styles reflect local traditions, and they continue to serve as important spaces within the community.

Join us to explore the defining architectural features of Qatar’s historic and contemporary mosques, including examples that date back to the third century AH. The session includes a recorded video produced in collaboration with experts from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Qatar Museums, followed by an interactive Q&A discussion.
